This presentation covers what to include in a professional will, how to choose a professional executor, and how to handle records retention and client notifications when a practice closes, including the added complexity of practicing across state lines as the Counseling Compact and Social Work Compact expand. We'll also talk through the human side: notifying clients with care and cultural sensitivity, especially when someone else may be the one reaching out on your behalf. It's an uncomfortable topic, but sitting with that discomfort now means real protection for your clients later—and you'll leave feeling more prepared for whatever comes.
